Choosing the correct punch needle frame for your project is essential. In order to create even loops when punching, you will need your fabric to be stretched as tight as possible. As a rule of thumb, Amy Oxford says that you should be able to bounce quarter (20p) off of the fabric when it's tight enough.
These re-usable wooden stretcher bars are a simple way of creating a frame for a punch needle.
The frame is currently available in two sizes:
- 12 inch - this has a working area of 8.5 inches / 21.5cm x 8.5 inches / 21.5cm
- 16 inch - this has a working area of 12.5 inches / 32cm x 8.5 inches / 21.5cm
It is manufactured in the UK using European Redwood which is sustainably sourced, and are FSC and PEFC certified. You will receive four pieces that slot together easily to create a frame.
You will need drawing pins or a staple gun to stretch your punch needle fabric over the frame tightly. When designing your project, make sure that the working area is larger than the area you want to punch.

International orders are sent using tracked delivery. They are processed through Royal Mail and then handed to their partner company in your country (normally the regular postal service).
