Oxford Punch Needle

The Oxford punch needle is one of the best punch needles available. It is designed by Amy Oxford and is self threading and ergonomic.

Oxford punch needles are available in two sizes; fine point and regular point. The fine point needles use thinner, worsted weight yarns and the regular point needles use chunky / bulky weight chunky yarns. Within each of the two widths, there are then multiple needle sizes, each creating a different loop height. Below you can see the different loop heights by needle:

• The #8 Oxford Punch Needle makes 1/2" tall loops
• The #9 Oxford Punch Needle makes 3/8" tall loops
• The #10 Oxford Punch Needle makes 1/4" tall loops
• The #13 Oxford Punch Needle makes 3/16" tall loops
• The #14 Oxford Punch Needle makes 1/8" tall loops

Boxed or Unboxed needle

The Oxford needle is available in two formats - boxed and unboxed (the needle alone).  The boxed needle comes with a decorative collector's box, a stitch gauge and a 32-page handbook. The booklet includes all the information you need to get started, including helpful illustrations.
